NEOASA 11v11 COED RULES


⚽ These rules apply to NEOASA 11v11 Coed league play.


📍 Facility Rules – Torchia-Oliver SoccerPlex

  • No pets are allowed. Anyone bringing a pet may be asked to leave the complex. 
  • No glass containers are allowed. Anyone in violation may be asked to leave the complex. 
  • Foul or abusive language will not be tolerated. Referees may caution or eject players, remove spectators, terminate matches, and recommend fines.
     

📝 Player Eligibility

  • All players must be properly registered and eligible under NEOASA rules. 
  • Official Match Cards must be printed from GotSport and submitted to the referee prior to kickoff. 
  • Handwritten names are not permitted. 
  • Unregistered players may not participate. 
  • Failure to submit a valid Match Card may result in forfeit and loss of bond.
     

📋 Roster Limits

  • Teams may roster up to 25 players per season. 
  • Only 18 players may participate in a single match.
     

👥 Dual Registration (Coed Division)

  • Players may participate on one Coed team only. 
  • Violations may result in suspension or removal from the league.
     

🥅 Equipment Requirements

  • Matching team jerseys with permanent numbers are required. 
  • Shin guards and proper soccer footwear are required. 
  • Jersey numbers must be unique and clearly visible. 
  • The visiting team must change jerseys if colors conflict.
     

👥 Team Size and Participation (Coed Division)

  • Minimum of 6 field players and 1 goalkeeper required to start. 
  • Minimum of 3 female field players required at all times. 
  • The goalkeeper may be male or female. 
  • Teams may have more female players than male players on the field. 
  • At no time may the number of male field players exceed the number of female field players. 
  • If fewer than 3 female field players are present at kickoff, the match is forfeited.
     

📖 Game Rules

  • Slide tackling is not permitted.
  • Violations will result in an automatic caution. 
  • Goalkeepers may slide within the penalty area but must exercise control and good judgment. 
  • All other standard 11v11 gameplay follows FIFA Laws of the Game unless modified by NEOASA.
     

⚽ Scoring 

  • All goals count as 1 point. 
  • When a team leads by 8 goals, only female players may score. 
  • Male players may resume scoring if the goal difference falls below 8.
     

🚨 Discipline and Conduct

  • Cautions and ejections are reviewed by the NEOASA Appeals and Disciplinary Committee. 
  • Violations may result in removal, forfeiture, suspension, or expulsion.
     

📚 Governing Authority

  • All other standard rules utilized by NEOASA and FIFA will be applied. 
  • Please refer to the NEOASA Constitution, Bylaws, and Rules & Regulations for additional guidance.

NEOASA 7v7 Soccer Rules

 

⚽ NEOASA 7v7 Soccer Rules

These rules apply to all NEOASA 7v7 league play, including Summer, Fall, and Spring seasons.


📍 Facility Rules – Torchia-Oliver SoccerPlex

  • No pets are allowed. Anyone bringing a pet may be asked to leave the complex. 
  • No glass containers are allowed. Anyone in violation may be asked to leave the complex.
  • Foul or abusive language will not be tolerated. Referees may caution or eject players, remove spectators, terminate matches, and recommend fines.
     

📝 Player Eligibility

  • All players must be registered and listed on the official roster. 
  • Handwritten or unregistered players are not permitted.
  • Violations may result in forfeit, suspension, or expulsion from the league.
     

👥 Team Size and Participation

  • Teams play with 7 players total: 6 field players and 1 goalkeeper. 
  • A minimum of 5 players is required to avoid a forfeit.
  • Coed teams must have at least 3 female field players at all times. 
  • The goalkeeper may be male or female. 
  • Teams may have more female players than male players on the field. 
  • At no time may the number of male field players exceed the number of female field players.
     

📋 Roster Limits

  • Teams may roster a maximum of 18 players.
     

⏱ Field and Game Duration

  • Games are played on half-sized fields, similar to U10 field dimensions. 
  • Matches consist of two 30-minute halves.
     

🥅 Equipment Requirements

  • Shin guards are mandatory. 
  • Teams must wear matching jerseys. 
  • The visiting team must change jerseys in case of color conflict.
     

📖 Game Rules

  • The offside rule is not enforced. 
  • Substitutions are unlimited at stoppages with referee approval. 
  • Slide tackling is not permitted for field players and will result in a caution. 
  • Goalkeepers may slide within their penalty area but must exercise control and good judgment. 
  • Defending players must remain at least 5 yards from the ball on restarts. 
  • Kick-ins are used instead of throw-ins. 
  • Goals may be scored from kickoff. 
  • Goals may not be scored directly from the defensive half.
     

⚽ Coed Scoring (Coed Divisions Only)

  • Male goals count as 1 point. 
  • Female goals count as 2 points. 
  • When a team leads by 8 points, only female players from that team may score.
  • If the lead is reduced to 7 points or less, male players may resume scoring until the 8-point lead is reached again.
